Let's get startet!

Welcome to my Blog and the first entry!
I will write here about my life as a student at Kyung Hee University in South Korea to keep my friends in Germany up to date and inform other people who may be interessted to come at my university as well.
I arrived just yesterday night after a long flight over Istanbul and like it seemed an even longer waiting to go through the immigration. No idea if the workers there just had not a good day or whatever.
So i was glad to finally be allowed to enter Korea officially, even if my student visa is not available yet and my flight back is after the tourist-visa-three-months. A few nice words with the lady and they let me inside their country. Gamsahamnida!

Outside my buddy was already waiting for me and took me to the university. Arriving at the dormitory they first didnt find my name on the list! Well, lets just sleep at the street.... But because I'm a regular student and not just for an exchage semester here, it has been a little bit confusing for them as it looked for me. A few phone calls, nervous looks from me, jokes from the young office workers later i finally got my room...and shock. Dirty.... black hairs on my bed.... floor in the bathroom as if somebody with dirty shoes went in...(shoes in a korean room!!)... and the toilet I don't even want to talk about.

Just a short stop in the convenience store besides the dormitory and hello to my bed, let's have a nice time together! Maybe it doesn't like me right from the start... It doesnt feel comfortable with me yet, but maybe we will get friends after some get-to-know-each-other-time.

By the way, my roommate will arrive today or tomorrow, I'm already curious about her! So curious that i asked in my first minutes in the dorm office where she is from. Lithuania. Okay European girls let's go! Hope we will get along well, there is not enough space in the room to hide from each other.

Well so far for today. I will load up some pictures of my dorm room and also the university in the next days, when my room looks livable.

Life in Korea, Take one, Hwaiting!
